Booking and Deposit

Your wedding date is not officially reserved until a signed agreement and required deposit have been received.

Payment Schedule

Payment amounts, due dates, and accepted payment methods are outlined in your agreement.

Coverage and Scheduling

Coverage begins and ends according to the number of hours included in your selected package or agreement. Coverage hours apply to the wedding date unless otherwise stated in writing and are consecutive unless otherwise agreed. Arrival time and coverage details will be confirmed prior to the event.

Creative Approach

Great Lakes Visual retains creative discretion in filming, editing, shot selection, pacing, music selection, and final presentation unless otherwise agreed in writing. By booking, the client acknowledges familiarity with the Great Lakes Visual style and understands that each film is created with artistic judgment unique to the event.

Revisions

Final films include up to two (2) rounds of reasonable revisions unless otherwise stated in your selected package or agreement. Additional revisions may be available for an added fee.

Travel and Additional Coverage

Travel fees, timing extensions, and additional coverage may apply depending on location, schedule, and scope, and will be quoted separately when applicable.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate event details and obtaining any permissions, access, or clearances needed for filming. The client also confirms they have the legal right to provide any photos, music, or other materials submitted for inclusion in the final film.

Audio, Lighting, and Venue Conditions

Great Lakes Visual is not responsible for limitations caused by conditions outside its control, including restricted access, poor lighting, weather, venue rules, guest interference, schedule changes, or the refusal to allow recommended audio or lighting setup. These factors may affect the final result.

Ownership and Usage

Great Lakes Visual retains ownership of all raw footage, edited films, project files, and related materials. The client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the final delivered films for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing on personal social media and with friends and family. Commercial or promotional use is not permitted without prior written consent.

Promotional Use

Great Lakes Visual may use footage, still frames, and audio from the event for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellation

The client may cancel services at any time by written notice. The deposit is non-refundable and is paid in consideration of Great Lakes Visual reserving the event date and declining other bookings. Any payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit will be handled according to the terms of the signed agreement.

Limitation of Liability

If Great Lakes Visual is unable to perform services due to illness, emergency, accident, acts of God, equipment failure, venue interference, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, reasonable efforts will be made to secure a replacement or otherwise resolve the issue. If services cannot be performed, liability is limited to a refund of amounts paid for services not rendered.
